Emory G. Burkhalter

Emory G. Burkhalter, age 75, of Crestview, Florida passed away August 27, 2020. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA with Rev. Mike White officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. He was Preceded in death by his parents Louie Foy Burkhalter, Margaret Grace Burkhalter and brother Charles Wesley Burkhalter.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on December 26, 1944 and moved to Crestview, FL 19 years ago from Dallas, GA. Emory was a faithful member of Milligan Assembly of God. He loved God, his wife, church and pastor. He loved and prayed for his children daily. Emory was proud of the time that he served honorably in the United States Air Force. He always enjoyed taking trips with his family and friends and especially the camping trips.

Survivors include his loving wife Juanita Sanders Burkhalter; four children: Stanley Benton Burkhalter, Steven William Burkhalter, Edward Tyson Burkhalter and Courtney Elizabeth Morris; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and two sisters: Merlin Burkhalter Goss and Sylvia Burkhalter Holland.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
