Ella Jacqueline Kilgore, age 79 of Powder Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2016 at WellStar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, Marietta, GA. Ella was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
She was born in Dickenson County, Virginia, daughter of the late George Holbrook and Vada Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband, EliHugh Johnson Kilgore, her sister, Katie, brother Ron, two half brothers, Luther and Frank, and son-in-law, Richard Coffey.
She is survived by 4 children, Jeffrey Kilgore and wife Laura, of Paint Lick, Kentucky; Jennifer Coffey of North Augusta, South Carolina; Rev. Hugh Kilgore and wife Susette, of Cleveland, Tennessee; Alfreda Miller and husband Chuck, of Powder Springs, Georgia; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
She is also survived by one sister, Mildred Skeens of Nora, Virginia, four half sisters, Carrie Salyer of St. Paul, Virginia, Jean Clark of St. Paul, Virginia, Anita Starnes of St. Paul, Virginia and Becky Holbrook of St. Paul, Virginia, one brother, Andrew Holbrook of Nora, Virginia, five half brothers, Bobby D. Holbrook of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Clinton Holbrook of Aurora, Illinois, Ray Holbrook of Aurora, Illinois, George Holbrook, Jr., of Aurora, Illinois and Bobby M. Holbrook of St. Paul, Virginia as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services for Ella Jacqueline Kilgore will be conducted at St. Paul United Methodist Church, St. Paul, Virginia on Saturday, February 20 at 2pm, with Rev. Harry Layell officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 1pm, preceding the funeral service at the church.
Interment will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia.
