Elizabeth Marie Hastings

Elizabeth Marie Hastings, age 89, of Canton, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, March 9th in the chapel of Gowen-Smith Funeral Home in Shelbyville, TN. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.



A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Hastings moved to Georgia in 1963. She worked as a secretary for Lilliston Corporation in Albany, GA for 13 years, retiring in 1985. She was also a member of the Beattie Road Church of Christ in Albany. She was active in many organizations, including the Albany Woman’s Club, the Girl Scouts, and a supporter of the Woodmen of the World Fraternal Lodge.



Survivors Include:



2 Children: Rita Laukka and husband Rick, Canton, GA

Larry Hastings and wife Jean, Montgomery, AL

Sister: Odean Sanders, Shelbyville, TN



4 Grandchildren: Chip Laukka, Beth Wallace, Stephanie Hastings and Eric Hastings



2 Great Grandchildren: MacKenzie and Landon Wallace
