Edward Bass, age 79, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Born January 19, 1941 in Auburn, Alabama, he was the only child to the late Wilbur Bass and Willie L. (Maddox) Bass.
After graduating from Spencer High School in Columbus, GA in 1960, Edward decided to join the U.S. Military Army Branch. He met and married his wife of 51 years, Geneva (Brooks) Bass.
In 1969, Edward began his lifetime career with Hysan Chemical Company. Not only was he a respected and dedicated employee for Hyson Co. until his retirement in 2010, he served as a committed union steward for the workers as well.
Edward enjoyed spending time with his family and attending outing events. In his spare time, he loved to root on his favorite sport teams: The Atlanta Falcons, The Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Hawks.
Edward is survived by his wife, Geneva; daughters, Lukrishna Bass, Felecia Stevenson and Ednetria Bass; grandchildren, Brittany, Brionne, Javon, Kayla, Kamau, Kamar, Kamasia and one great granddaughter, Felecionne. Edward has one son-in-law, Jose Stevenson and one aunt, Dorothy Stephenson in Auburn, Alabama.
Edward will be greatly missed by a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
