Edna Hendon, age 88, of Marietta, Georgia passed away April 30, 2020. Private Family Funeral Service will be held at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Marietta, GA with Pastor Joe Buckner officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Emmett, and her sister, Zetta Ward.
Edna was born February 7, 1932 and lived in Cobb County for most of her life. She graduated from Osborne High School and worked as a dental assistant for 40 years. Edna maintained a strong Christian faith throughout her life and was a devoted member of Roswell Street Baptist Church for 50 years, active in the Choir and her Sunday School. She loved music, reading, and most of all, her extended family.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Lovelace (Bill); her nieces, Faith Kindlin (Mike) and Hope Webb (Steve); her nephew, Al Ward (Sherri); and their children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edna Hendon's memory to the Roswell Street Baptist Church music ministries.
