Donna Lynn Greene

Donna Lynn Greene, age 61, passed away on June 21, 2019. Born in Oregon, the daughter of the late Donald Schumacher and his late wife Margaret Schumacher, Donna Greene was a proud graduate of McEachern High School in Cobb County and West Georgia College in Carrollton.
Donna raised two children, the late Ashley Greene and Phillip Greene, while working as a longtime employee of USA Cargo and Travel services in Marietta.
She had a big heart and a forgiving disposition and displayed her leadership skills both as a Girl Scout and later as a Girl Scout leader. She loved to read and enjoyed cross-stitch. A big sports fan, she was an avid follower of local sports teams and she enjoyed bowling.
Donna was an enthusiastic supporter of the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation and the support group which provides comfort and a sounding board to brain cancer patients and caregivers.
She is survived by her son Phillip Greene of Chicago, her brother Eric Schumacher and his wife Deborah of Cumming, Ga, her nephew Matthew Schumacher and niece Katie Schumacher, her longtime companion and caregiver Philip Loftis, and her former husband Vic Greene, father of her children.
A private memorial gathering will be held at the Schumacher residence in Cumming.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation would be welcomed.
