Donald Scott

Donald Scott, age 84, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at 4pm on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Willingham, Rev. Cindy Blocksidge and Rev. Lee McNeil officiating. Interment will follow at Macland Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.



A native of England, Mr. Scott moved to Powder Springs in 1970. He retired from Georgia Power as a Civil Engineer after 15 years of employment. Afterward, he enjoyed working in the tag office at the DMV, and worked the voting booths as a Poll Manager. He also taught the Nat Long Bible Class and volunteered at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church for many years, and was active at the West Cobb Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Scott, in 2004

Lynn (Dennis) Johnson, Powder Springs, GA



7 Grandchildren: Kirsten, Anna, Rebekah and Nathan McNeil

Hayley, Heather and David Johnson



2 Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh and Aleyah Johnson
