Lamar Prather

Clifford Lamar Prather, age 74, of Marietta, GA passed away Monday, July 23, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, July 28th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Burial will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Acworth. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12pm until 2pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.
A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Lamar worked as a security guard for Rich’s Department Store and Aunt Fanny’s Cabin in Smyrna. He also loved volunteering at Wellstar for the past 10 years. He served as an usher and greeter at Mt. Calvary and Mt. Olivet Baptist Churches. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Prather and Frances Prather Hood, and a sister, Nancy Joanne McTaggart.
