Christopher Elliott Burba, 46, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. Private services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA. A private service will be held at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, Kentucky with interment in Leitchfield Memorial Gardens in Leitchfield, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Burba and step-father, Harold Stevenson, grandfather, Elliott McCormick.

He was born February 19, 1974 to Marcella McCormick Burba Stevenson and Joseph Shelton Burba in Louisville, KY. On May 19, 2001 he married Kirstin Kuehn Burba in Gatlinburg, TN. Chris was an accomplished Boy Scout and loved the outdoors. An avid hunter, he and his boys bonded over the thrill of the hunt and respect for the skill. He always looked forward to taking his family to J and D's Back Forty to share in his love of Kentucky. He taught his sons to put pride in their work and his incredible work ethic was known to all. His family was his pride and joy and if you were lucky enough to see him cheer his sons and their teammates on from the sidelines on race day, you know how proud and competitive he was.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Kirstin; his 2 sons, Walker Kuehn and Mason Burba of Hiram, GA. His mother, Marcella of Marietta, GA ; his grandmother, Genevieve McCormick of Leitchfield, KY; his brother, Jeromy Burba of Dallas, GA; his nephew, Joseph Burba of Hiram, GA and his niece Kayle Burba of Marietta, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the WMA (Wildlife Management Agency) or the USA BMX Association.
