Charles David King

Charles David King, 79, left this world on April 20, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue King and their two children Chuck King (Laura) and Amy King Hilsman and is predeceased by a daughter Kelly Denise King. Four grandchildren, Silas Hayden Atkinson, Spencer Douglas King, Abigail Colleen Atkinson, and Bristol Grace King.

David was 9th born of thirteen children and is predeceased also by his mother and father Clarence and Druzella King, as well as eight siblings. Surviving sisters are Ruth Gossett of Maryland, Janet Skeen of WVa, Mary Sue Owen of WVa, Patricia Sisk also of WVa, along with many sweet nieces and nephews.

David has been a resident of Kennesaw for 53 years coming here to become a part of Lockheed Martin where he retired.

He enjoyed coaching softball at the Adams Park in Kennesaw, fishing with his son, sailing, biking, backpacking adventures, and hiking and always flying kites, building model airplanes and flying them.

His life was full, and he will be missed by his family and friends.
