Charles Hurbert Keith

Charlie Keith, age 71, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the ceremony at the funeral home.

Born in Memphis, Tennesee, to John and Virginia (Day) Keith. Charlie attended Meridian High School in Meridian, Mississippi. He relocated to Georgia in 1969 where he began working for Norfolk Southern Railway. He worked in the real estate industry for most of his life, as a sales professional for Johnny Isakson of Northside Realty, Coldwell Banker, RE/MAX Around Atlanta Marietta West, and Best Georgia Realty Group. Additionally, Charlie owned his own real estate construction company, Keith Co. Limited, building thousands of single-family homes across Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding counties. Throughout his real estate career, Charlie was recognized for his superior sales achievements by Northside, RE/MAX, and the Cobb County Board of Realtors earning numerous awards including the Platinum Phoenix Award for 20 years of million-dollar sales and ranking within the Top 1% of RE/MAX professionals worldwide.

In retirement, Charlie was passionate about serving as a volunteer mentor for the Piedmont Hospital liver transplant program.

Preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Keith Glover; stepfather Charlie Glover; brother Jack Keith; and sister, Virginia Ann Duncan.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Cathy L. Keith, of Powder Springs, GA; siblings, Patricia (Keith) May, of Sharpsburg, GA, and Gary Lee Glover, of Cartersville, GA; daughter, Karen Keith (Barry) Burke, of Marietta, GA; son, Charles B. (Lisa) Keith, of Dallas, GA; daughter, Crystal Keith Cook, Washington, PA; grandchildren, Kathryn, Saylor, Logan, Christian. Morgan, Griffen, Madison, Liam, and Jackson; stepdaughter Barbi (Josh) Jones, Dallas, GA; plus, countless nieces and nephews.
