Catherine A Flickinger

Kathleen (Catherine) Ann Flickinger, 94 of Roswell, GA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 19, 2021.
She was married for 59 years to Charles W. Flickinger, who preceded her in death on March 18, 2008. They raised their four children in Penn Hills, PA, just east of Pittsburgh, and retired to Hilton Head Island, SC, where they lived for 20 years.
Kathleen was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Paterson, NJ, to Albert and Mary Durgett. She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Durgett Jr. Her sister in law, Mae Durgett, of Fuquay Varina, N.C., survives her.
Kathleen graduated from St. Mary’s Nursing School in Paterson, NJ, and worked as a registered nurse for more than 40 years.
She enjoyed her time living at the beach, traveling, attending plays and concerts. Kathleen was an avid bridge player maintaining a membership in the American Bridge Association and belonged to bridge clubs where ever she lived.
Survivors include her four children, Deb O'Brien and her husband John of Murrysville, PA, Art Flickinger and his wife Tracey of Mount Lebanon, PA, Dr. John Flickinger and his wife Cathy of O'Hara Township, PA and Jerry Flickinger and his wife Cheryl of Roswell, GA. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services for Kathleen will be in held at 11AM on March 27 at St Joseph's Catholic Church, O'Hara Township, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her name to the Agape Hospice Care, Marietta, GA or the American Cancer Society.
