    Carolyn Cowart

    August 8, 1939 - February 9, 2022

Carolyn Virginia (Mills) Cowart, mother of four, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at her home in Hiram, GA, leaving behind two daughters, Cathaleena "Cathy" Carol Cochran and Carressa "Carrie" Virlene Dobbs with their husbands, Randy Cochran and Steve Dobbs, their children Christopher Daniel Cochran and wife Candace Storey Cochran, Crystal Danielle Cochran, Carressa DeLynn Dobbs, and Stephen Jake Dobbs, and her son, Rolanson "Rolan" Arris Cowart and his wife Tammy Michella (Woods) Cowart. Carol also leaves behind son-in-law David Hughes married to her recently deceased second daughter, Connileshia "Connie" Lyn Hughes, and her children Brandon Copeland, Timothy Copeland, Adam Copeland, Domanic Copeland, Amber Stricklin, Jasmine Stricklin, and Dillon Beck, plus a host of great grandchildren. Carol has one remaining sibling, Ronnie Mills. To honor their mother's wishes, Carol will lay to rest, with her husband, Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Garden of Peace at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville, GA after a family graveside service officiated by Pastor Corey Gordon of Callie Harbin Baptist Church, Villa Rica, GA. Special thanks to the staff of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta, GA for helping the family with all the arrangements. Born on August 8, 1939, Carol loved her family greatly, choosing to be a stay-at-home mom and wife to Oliver Otto Cowart (deceased) making herself always available to her family. Having an infectious smile and kind spirit, she was lighthearted, generous, strong, and passionate about those for whom she cared. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the two organizations she supported: St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, MT (stlabre.com) and Wounded Warrior Project, (woundedwarriorproject.org).
