Carl Morris

September 15, 1935 — September 15, 2022

Carl W Morris passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 15, 2022. Carl, son of Henry Allen and Elizabeth (Ward) Morris, was born September 15, 1935. He grew up in Paulding County, GA and graduated from Berry High School with honors. He then attended and graduated from Southern (Poly) Technical College with a degree in Electronics Engineering. Carl quickly joined the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and worked with them his entire career. His skills and knowledge were invaluable to many and he travelled with FAA all over the world. He worked for the FAA for 36 years, retiring in 1992.
Carl was an entrepreneur who saw opportunities in real estate which led him to own multiple properties across the southeast. He loved to 'get a deal' and was happiest when a new acquisition was on the horizon. He loved maintaining and doing home improvements on all of his properties. He enjoyed the lake, camping and water skiing.
Carl is survived by his daughter Carla (John) Fiebiger of Lawrenceville, GA. He is also survived by two grandchildren and four great grandchildren: Kelley (Denny) Newberry, Addison (6) and Austin (2) of Roswell, GA and Kimberly (Richard) Accardi, Emerson (7) and James (2) of Lawrenceville, GA. Also, survived by his sisters Katherine (late Guy) Brown, Helen (late Hugh) Shepard, Ruth (late Jerry) Goldin and Marie (George) Barnett plus many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Stewart Morris in 1973, his son Gregory Lee Morris in 2014, brothers Richard Morris and Hubert Morris and sister Lois Morris Brown.
