Bertha Shirley Gazaway

Bertha Shirley Gazaway, age 90, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 2 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev.’s Lamar Rackley, James Guy, Randall Cape and Lee Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Powder Springs. She was preceded in death by her son, Leonard Howell Gazaway.

A native of Cherokee County, Mrs. Gazaway lived in Cobb County for most of her life. She retired from the cafeteria of Belmont Hills Elementary School, and was a former member, Sunday school teacher and pianist at Post Oak Baptist Church. She also sang and played for the Post Oak Quartet and the church choir. She is a current member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and loved gardening, walking and riding bikes with her family.

Amy Carson, Bruce (Le Ann) Winters and Jamey (Jodi) Winters

5 Great Grandchildren:
Tanner, Maribeth, Anna, Brady and Grace
