Audrey Blalock

Audrey Davis Blalock, age 84, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away April 28, 2019. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Waleska Church of God of Prophecy at 127 Dry Pond Lane, Canton, GA 30114.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Audrey Blalock's memory to Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 287 Mount Calvary Road, Marietta, GA 30064.
Audrey was raised on a farm and was one of 13 children of George and Annie Davis. Audrey loved children. She spent many years taking care of her grandchildren and eventually took care of other children as well. Because she loved to help others, Audrey used to spend time sitting with seniors who needed some extra care. Audrey took care of others for years until she was no longer able to do so.
Audrey was an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. Although she wasn’t able to attend regularly as of late, Audrey loved attending Sunday School, Keenager events and she especially looked forward to the road trips.
Audrey loved to embroider. The family could always count on a special gift at Christmas. She loved peppermint candy, Coca-Cola, watching her favorite tv program and spending time with her grandchildren.
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Wanda Grogan of Powder Springs, GA; her daughter, Wilma Luger of Shorewood, WI; and her son Jeffrey Blalock of Cartersville, GA. Audrey is also survived by six grandchildren; Becky Moore, Rusty Moore, Stephen Grogan, Hannah Grogan, Alex Luger and Callie Luger. Audrey has four great grandchildren and her first great, great grandchild is due later this year.
Audrey will be missed by her entire family and a host of friends.
