Arthur Doyle Puryear

Arthur Doyle Puryear, age 81, of Austell, Georgia passed away peacefully Saturday, January 15, 2022, Surrounded by family. Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA with Pastor George Cupp officiating. Interment will be held 2:30 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. He was born in Acworth, GA, and grew up in Armuchee, GA. Arthur was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for CSX Transportation Atlanta Division for over 30 years. Arthur is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy; his son, Richard Puryear, daughter-in-law Robin of Cartersville, GA, daughter Brandi Wright, son-in-law Jeffrey of Cartersville, GA. Grandson, Michael Puryear, and Granddaughter, Ashley Puryear. Brothers: Thon, Don, Tommy and Billy Puryear. Sister: Elouise Stephens and many nieces, nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents David and Nellie Puryear, Brothers, Frank, Lewis Puryear and Easton Smith and Sister Dorothy McCollum.
