Arlan Wayne Whitten

Arlan Wayne Whitten, age 83, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away September 1, 2021. Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents Menta and Helen Whitten.

Arlan was born in of Anniston, AL and has lived in Powder Springs, GA since 1990. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a retired Veteran of the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He loved fishing, gardening, spending time with his children, grandchildren and especially his wife.

Survivors include: wife of 37 years: Diana Kay Whitten of Powder Springs, GA; four children: Christopher Whitten of Charlotte, NC, Scott Whitten of Adams Head, SC, Eric Whitten of San Diego, CA and Heidi Rainer of Tallapoosa, GA; three step-children: Christi Vanderhoof of Sherwood, AR, Carri Lord of Moore, OK and Steve Hines of Sherwood, AR; brother: Edward Gary Whitten of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister: Barbara Gibson of Atlanta, GA; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
