Ara Power Hobbs

Mrs. Ara Power Hobbs, age 90, of College Park passed away October 2, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 6 at 2 pm in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Rev. Burman Cape, Jr. and Rev. Keith Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta.

Mrs. Hobbs was a lifelong resident of metropolitan Atlanta. She was a loving homemaker and expert seamstress. She loved and “grew” family and friends babies. Mrs. Hobbs was a faithful member of Floyd Road Baptist Church and very much a Southern lady.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Hobbs, III and is survived by her son, John E. Hobbs, IV and wife, Sandra of Douglasville and daughter, Ginger (Virginia) Hobbs Luttrell and husband, Michael of Atlanta; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
