Willie "Bill" Elton Rogers

Willie Elton “Bill” Rogers, Jr., age 65, of Winston, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Memorial Services will be held at 1pm on Monday, December 9, 2013 at West Cobb Church with Rev. Ken Williams officiating.

Raised in Memphis/Whitehaven, TN, Mr. Rogers moved to Atlanta when he was 14 years old. He has resided in Winston, GA for the past 30 years. He was a proudly decorated veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. Bill has worked for Cox Enterprises for the last 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, building model trains and cars with his grandchildren, reading, but most of all, his family. Bill was endeared by all who knew him.

2 Daughters: Jennifer Shawn Rogers Parker, Atlanta, GA
Adriane Rogers (Scott) Abrams, Powder Springs, GA

Sister: Dorothy Lee (Russell, Sr,) Graves, Melbourne, FL

Brother: Carl “Allen” (Donna) Rogers, Suwanee, GA

4 Grandchildren: Gavin Lee Parker, Kennedy Erin Parker, Tyler Matthew Abrams and Landon Patrick Abrams, and many other beloved extended family members.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
