Tanner Webb

May 28, 1996 — March 31, 2017

Tanner Mitchell Webb, age 20, was granted his heavenly wings on March 31, 2017. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home and his wishes were to be cremated. Tanner was preceded in death by his Uncle Paul Marcum, Cousin Jared Webb, Cousin Josh Evans, Aunt Jackie Evans and grandparents, Shirley and Bill Johnson, J.B. Webb and Leroy and Myrna Hammac. He is survived by his parents, Pam and Daniel Webb; brother, Tyler Webb; dog, Chapo; godmother, Tiffany Davis; father, Timothy Hammac; Uncle Danny and Aunt Jodi Marcum; grandparents, Kenneth and Patricia Marcum; step brothers, William and Brian Webb and many additional aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tanner was born and raised in Cobb County. He was very active in the youth programs at church. He participated in 9 years of Awanas, Youth Choir, Upwards Basketball, RA's, Sunday School, Children's Church, VBS, D-Now and was baptized at Macland Baptist Church. In 1997 Tanner was crowned Mr. Powder Springs. During his younger years he participated in recreational baseball, basketball and football. He wrestled for Pope High School. He was a certified Scuba Diver and was currently studying through Stratford. Tanner was working closely with a recruiter to sign a commitment with the United States Marines. He had a true passion for culinary arts and received great pleasure cooking for others.

In Tanner's life there was great goodness. He is most remembered for his love for people. He was big hearted, with a kind soul that genuinely cared for others. He always saw the good in everyone. He had a true, caring heart for the underdog… He would ask that you simply love, not judge. He loved talking to people and he never met a stranger! Tanner loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh… he had such a corky sense of humor. He always brightened the room and stole the show wherever he went with his smile and suave charm. He was the life of the party! Tanner loved life and was adventurous!! However, he lived life on his own terms. He lived full throttle and burned the candle at both ends yet he conquered many storms in his short life. He was a free spirit and lived in the present. His outlook was always 'the quality of existence exceeds the quality of time.'

Tanner's greatest love was for his family and his dog, Chapo. He was a son and a brother. And although God had other plans for Tanner, we will miss him greatly with every fiber of our being. He will always be loved and will forever remain in our hearts. His spirit will live on forever!
