Colonel Robert Clay Needham

Colonel Robert Clay Needham, age 88, of Marietta, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016, 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Jane Needham, wife Jane Keyser Needham and daughter Katherine Needham.
Robert was a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps where he retired as a Colonel with 26 years of service, with tours of duty that included Korea and Vietnam.
Robert is survived by three children: Kyle McCarthy, Leila Needham and Pete Needham; four grandchildren: Kaitlin Theberge, Timothy McCarthy, Katherine and Sarah Needham; two great-grandchildren: Elin and George Theberge.
