Richard J. McMenamin
March 10, 1946 — August 1, 2013
Richard J. McMenamin, age 67, passed away August 1, 2013, the devoted son of James A and Mary R (Fantacone) McMenamin. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother-in-law, Joseph H. Tice, Sr.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathryn Tice, Mary [William] Stevenson, Michael [Colleen] McMenamin, and David McMenamin, and was a loving uncle to fifteen grand nieces and nephews. He will be missed by them and by his caring friends.
Richard was a graduate of Villanova University and a veteran of the United States Navy, specializing in linguistics and intelligence, and serving in Rota, Spain.
Following military service, he was employed in computer operations at major
banks in Philadelphia, PA, then California, Oregon, Ohio and Atlanta, GA prior to his retirement.
He will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalen Roman Catholic Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA. 19063 (610-566-8821). www.stmarymagdalen.net . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in his memory, to the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix @ www.phxautism.org .
Arrangements are being handled by West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA.
