Millard Warner Slayton, Sr.

Millard Warner Slayton, Sr. age 91 of Marietta, passed away on October 31, 2016 in Marietta, GA. Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, November 4, 2016 at Kennesaw Memorial Park with Rev. Milford Ballinger officiating.

Mr. Slayton was previously employed with Boeing Aircraft in Kansas before retiring from Lockheed Martin in 1988 as a manager. After retiring he served on the City of Marietta Board of Zoning Appeals. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a former greeter at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Inc and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marietta.

Mr. Slayton was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Betty J. Slayton. He is survived by his children, Earl Slayton of Acworth and Tooter (Camille) Slayton of Marietta; grandchildren, Tim Slayton of Dallas, Melisa (Kenneth) Westmoreland of White and Jennifer Baldwin of Acworth; great grandchildren, Kendyl and Kristian Westmoreland, Jamie Daniel, Jordan Chumley and Addy Baldwin.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta, Georgia.
