Joseph Timothy Shelton

Joseph Timothy Shelton, 60, of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, July 1, 2011, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. A life-long resident of Marietta, Mr. Shelton was retired from General Motors and was also a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a volunteer with MUST Ministries. Survivors include his parents, C.W. and Dorothy Shelton of Marietta; wife, Terry Shelton of Marietta; daughters, Stacy Haynes of Dallas, Casey Shelton of Tampa, FL and Beverly Jo Talbot of Hiram; step-daughter, Lauren Peace of Locust Grove; siblings, Patricia Ann Purdy of Pikeville, TN and William C. Shelton of Shannon, GA and grandchildren, Kaylee Haynes, Sarah Haynes, Ella Haynes, Daniel Strickland, Arianna Cognito, Giovanna Cognito and Gianna Cognito. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Memorial contributions can be made to MUST Ministries.
