James Kim Leggett

James “Kim” Leggett, age 60, of Dallas, passed away March 4th, 2016. Kim is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Leggett. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Jeannie Leggett, his 3 children, Kristie, Kelly and James Leggett; father, Clifford Leggett; 5 siblings: Terry(Shelly) Leggett, Phil (Kathy) Leggett, Kay(Morgan) Fuller, Paul(Samantha) Leggett, Karen(Alan) Campbell and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Kim was born in Dallas, GA and lived in the surrounding area his entire life. He was a Paulding County graduate. His business career in the car industry lasted for 42 years. It was ignited when he met Ann Taylor of Taylor Toyota. She became his mentor and helped shaped his career, which led to his partnership with the Barksdale Family at Courtesy Ford of Rome. His career lasted for 42 years. Throughout his career, he formed many valuable friendships and confidants.

Kim was a passionate man, and poured his heart into every endeavor, especially sports. He was an avid high school athlete and a varsity letterman in baseball, football, and basketball. During his time as a youth baseball coach, he touched the lives of many families and their sons. One of his greatest joys was watching his son play sports. He especially loved the game of golf and playing with his son. But of all his passionate endeavors, his greatest love was his family. He adored his loving wife, Jeannie and was most proud of his three children, Kristie, Kelly, and James.

Loving husband, proud father, and cherished friend, he will be remembered, loved, and missed by many. Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday (March 10th, 2016) at West Cobb Funeral Home, Marietta. The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday (March 11th, 2016) at NorthStar Church, Kennesaw with Pastor Mike Linch officiating.
