Mr. Jack Lucky of Powder Springs, GA., passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Powder Springs, GA., 2595 New Macland Rd., Powder Springs, GA., with Bishop Philip Kelly officiating. Jack will lie in state 1pm until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers will be John Lucky, Les Parker, Ben Lucky, Dan Delaney, David Cooper, and JD Serrin.
Jack has lived in the Powder Springs area for 18 years, moving here from Annandale, VA.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Goldie Mae Scrivens Lucky of Twisp, WA and siblings, LaDonna (Mickey) Merrier, Patricia Haug, and Donavon (Gene) Lucky.
Jack is survived by his wife Marcia Shell-Lucky of Powder Springs, GA,; his 4 children: Yvonne (Steve) Henderson of Dumfries, VA; Benjamin (Jan) Lucky of Tooele, UT; John (Stacy) Lucky of Weeki Wachee, FL.; Kim (Les) Parker of Kernersville, NC.; 2 step-children: Karen (David) Cooper of Powder Springs, GA; Kinley (Lauri) Shell, of Powder Springs, GA; siblings: Robert “Bob” (Sandy) Lucky of Peyton, CO; Joyce Lucky of Rochester, WA; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Jack proudly served our country in the Merchant Marines, United States Air Force, retired civil service and was a Technical Rep for Raytheon, Inc.
Jack was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, November 28, 2016 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
Jack will be interred at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Twisp, Washington.
