Homer Joseph Ashley

Homer Joseph Ashley, age 85, of Marietta, Georgia passed away June 22, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Lutheran Church of Nativity in Austell, GA. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Earlene Ashley.

Homer was a native of Sassafras, KY and lived the past 45 years in Marietta, GA. He retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service. He loved spending time with his loving family. He loved reading, watching old western and military movies, a wide variety of music and going to gun shows.

Survivors include: two daughters: Janice E. (Bobby) O'Donald of Powder Springs, GA and Julie A. Ashley of Powder Springs, GA; two grandchildren: Kellie J. (Chris) Cargile and Melissa K. Millwood; two great-grandchildren: Kamryn Flores and Christopher Cargile. two sisters: Betty Rachel (Lowell) Roarke and Norma Lee Ashley.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Lutheran Church of Nativity in Austell, GA.
