Harold Edwin "Eddie" Speights, age 56, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away January 8, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
Eddie was a native of Austell, GA and life long resident of Cobb County. He was a former over the road truck driver. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tara Speights.
Survivors include: seven children: Amanda Speights Ford, Timmy Speights, Samuel Speights, Promise Joy Speights, Jesse Speights, Danielle Speights and Virginia Speights; mother: Maxine McDuffie; girl friend: Cindi Davis of Hiram, GA; sister: Susan Schoroeder of Suwanee, GA; three brothers: Jeffrey Speights of Douglasville, GA, Joey Townsend of McDonough, GA and Derek Townsend of Austell, GA and a host of grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
