Hans Eric Williams of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away November 28th after a courageous four-year battle with ALS. He was 50. He is survived by his wife Amy, sons James and Payten, mother Annemarie and brother Kerney, and preceded in death by his father James K. Williams.
Hans attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, where he played baseball. He became an airline pilot and flew for TWA and AirTran- a job that he loved and in which he was highly respected. Hans loved cooking, fishing, barbecuing, beaches and great music. His greatest contribution, aside from husband and father, was as a baseball coach and mentor to countless numbers of boys and young men, both in the Atlanta area and in his previous home in St. Louis, MO. He was known for his kindness and ethics.
Services will be held Dec. 9th at 12:00 p.m. at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064. The family will receive visitors there from 10-12.
Please direct any donations in Hans’ name to either the Hoya Baseball Leadoff Club and/or the Milton Actors Support Krew. These donations will be used to establish a scholarship fund for baseball players at Harrison High School, and for actors at Milton High School, where his two sons, James and Payten, have been so influenced.
