Everett Cecil Nolen

Everett Cecil Nolen, Ret. USMC, age 79, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton with Masonic and full military honors.
Born in Delight, AR, Mr. Nolen was a graduate of Texarkana Texas High School. He retired from the United States Marine Corps after 34 years of service. Mr. Nolen was a member of Battle Hill Masonic Lodge, Combat Correspondents Association, Torrey Oaks Golf Club, Douglasville Hunting Club and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Zelda Nolen; daughter, Velda Nolen Pick and husband, David of Hammond, IN; son, Joel Nolen and wife, Lesa of Tyner, NC; sister, Ruby Currie and husband, Shelby of Poway, CA; stepbrother, Edwin C. Arnold and wife, Dixie of Fountain Valley, CA; grandson, Jody Nolen; nephew, Dean Arnold; mother-in-law, Ethel Mae Beasley of Fouke, AR and sister-in-law, Emma Jo Black and husband, Bearl of Fouke, AR.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:30am until 1:30pm at West Cobb Funeral Home, 2480 Macland Rd. Marietta, GA 30064.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org or WellStar Community Hospice, wellstar.org.
