Mrs. Edwina Robbie Hughes, age 70, of Powder Springs passed away Sunday. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Lamar Rackley officiating. Mrs. Hughes will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Culberson, NC and lived in Cobb County most of her life. She was retired as a Clerical Assistant at Sears on Ponce De Leon Avenue and had also worked at several insurance companies in the Cobb County area. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her loving husband, Benny Hughes of Powder Springs, her children: Terry and Jill Hughes of Dallas; Stepson, Mike Hughes of North Carolina; grandchildren: Riley and Reagan Hughes; Sister and Brother-in-Law: Arlene and Earl Withrow of Hiram and Sister, Sue Dixon of Murphy, NC and Brother, Richard Golden of Cleveland, TN.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Baptist Mission or missionaries, Rich and Patty Comer.
