Rev. Dennis Clayton Norton, age 65, of Dallas, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 3pm Sunday, July 27, 2014 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Berryhill officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Rev. Norton was a former evangelist and sang in the Norton Family Gospel Group. He pastored Friendly Baptist Church in Smyrna and was a retired mail carrier at the Smyrna Post Office. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Rev. Norton was preceded in death by his Parents, Clayton and Floy Norton; Brother, Doyle Norton and Sister, Myra Norton Dickerson. He is survived by his wife, Janice Norton of Dallas, GA; Daughter and her husband, Rev. Jason and Bethany Berryhill of Dallas; Sister, Marilyn Norton Mendenhall of Marietta; Grandchildren, Caitlyn, Clay and Chloe Berryhill; several nieces and nephews.
