Mr. Charles Alvin Earwood, age 83, of Marietta passed away November 10, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 15 at Central Baptist Church, Marietta with Dr. Wayne Fain and Rev. Jack Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville.
Mr. Earwood is preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Bob & Eunice Earwood; brother, Ralph Earwood and sister, Edna Nell Sutton. He is survived by his 3 sons: Ricky (Kathy) Earwood of Hiram, Barry (Stacie) Earwood of Dallas, Terry (Sheila) Earwood of Simi Valley, CA; brother, Bob (Lila) Earwood of Powder Springs; 11 grandchildren: Katie, Kayla, Chelsea, Kristy, Micah, Austin, Ansley, Ashton, Elyse, Elijah, Ella-Grace; 5 great grandchildren and 2 nephews: Greg and Jeff.
Charles was born and raised in Bartow County and a lifelong resident of Georgia. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an accountant for the Firemen and Oiler’s Union before retiring. He loved Gospel Music and was an avid sports fan. He subscribed to the “gospel of Georgia Tech.” His greatest love were his grandchildren who affectionately called him PawPaw.
