Obituary Notice
Charles J. “Sonny” Curtis, age 75, of Marietta, GA passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Marietta with Rev. Lamar Clarke and Rev. Tom Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
Born in Murphy, NC, Mr. Curtis lived most of his life in Cobb County. He retired from the Carpenter’s Local 225 after 18 years of employment, then went on to work for the Cobb County Board of Education for 20 years. He was a Deacon and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Willa and Carl “Bud” Ledford and 2 sisters, Sherry and Barbara Ledford.

Spouse of 54 years: Judy Bandy Curtis, Marietta, GA
2 Children: Stacey (Clay) Brown, Marietta, GA
Eric (Keesha) Curtis, Murphy, NC
Sister: Betty Pritchard, Hayesville, NC
5 Grandchildren: Hunter Brown, Paxton Brown, Alex Curtis, Taylor Enriques and Jake Enriques
